Come to Camp and share the gifts of your time and effort!
Family Camp Work Week has been suspended during the pandemic. Stay tuned for a return of this program.
We invite you and your family to join us for Wawenock’s Post-Camp Family Work Week! The week begins with dinner at 6 PM on the Wednesday after our camp season ends and will go through lunch the following Sunday. We work on projects from 9-12 each morning and enjoy camp the rest of the day! Naturally, we would like to have you stay for the whole week, but we know that life is busy and that is not always feasible. We ask that you commit to being here for a minimum of three morning work sessions. This way we can plan for projects knowing that we’ll have consistent team members and collectively, we may be as efficient and productive as possible.
Cost for Family Camp is $20 per person, per day. Children under six are free. Accommodations will be in cabins and meals will be provided. Your fees are used to support the Staff Training Fund, which makes it possible for Wawenock counselors to get Instructor’s Certifications in Waterfront and Land Sports.
“Like being a camp counselor, Family Camp enables me to work and play with forever friends, old and new, surrounded by the beauty of Wawenock. Being able to share a Wawenock experience with my family is just the icing on the cake. A week spent at Camp in August always refreshes me and renews me just as it did nearly 50 years ago.” – Holly Hoffman Goettge
