In keeping with our philosophy of living simply, Wawenock campers wear a uniform. In addition to leveling the playing field for girls who come from different backgrounds, the uniform also removes some of the focus from the “stuff” and trappings of the outside world. We want campers to know that who they are and the role they play in our camp family are what matters, not what they wear.
The official uniform, listed on the Packing List, can be purchased by phone or online from our uniform supplier, Bendinger Brothers:
As you will see on the packing list, all horseback riders should bring their own helmet and boot with a heal. Jodhpurs are not required – girls can ride in jeans. You can purchase riding equipment online at places like Dover Saddlery or through this flier from Hemphill’s.
“The ability to disconnect from the world and focus on fostering relationships with people of all ages, developing skills in activities and making lifelong friendships makes Wawenock unique.”
